Affiliated Events are sessions organized by organizations that occur before the conference (also called pre-conferences) or during the conference but outside of the venue.  

It does not cost anything for an organization to become an official Affiliated Event although you will need to apply to the Conference for approval. Once approved you can use the Conference logo on your materials and you will be listed in the programme and on the website under Affiliated Events.

Affiliated Events are different than satellites which occur inside the conference venue for which the organizations pay the conference a fee.  For information on satellites, see Satellite Sessions.
