These include the Athena Network which has a newsletter titled Mujeres Adelante and is working with UNIFEM and the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS to develop a Delegate’s Guide to AIDS 2010; the World YWCA with a number of resources for women and the conference; and the International AIDS Women’s Caucus (IAWC) which has been advocating for women’s issues at conferences since 1992.
There is also a newly launched multi-lingual website called Women in Europe and Central Asia which aims to:
1) Raise the visibility of positive women from across Europe and Central Asia, and make global linkages;
2) Ensure the active and meaningful participation of women, particularly positive women, in the conference;
3) Bring a women’s rights perspective, framework and advocacy throughout the conference;
4) Hold European donor governments to account for the situation of women and HIV in their countries, and for their support of women’s rights and HIV funding globally.
